the time of the year.

once more, we're all plagued by the festive mood, whether we like it or not, though actually acknowledging it is another matter altogether for different people. but who cares really. i enjoy it. i am and have always been. probably always will !(:

so time was pretty much spent releasing my materialistic desires into the enticing world of retail therapy considering that i've landed myself with a totally reliable shopping consultant with a good eye that i've found myself pretty much reliant to fall back on. HA. point to all, puma has this range of very light weight shoes with awesome colours. and i kinda feel they're multi purpose? go figure that part out yourself. sooooo as much as the crowds were a little of a put off, i guess awesome stuff made up for that huh. HAHA. and an end to the day like no other! woots!

did i mention that last sunday was really an under-rated blast! god, those involved in one way or another, i should've given my response by now so i'm leaving it at that. ROARRRR(((: do you agree when i say that feelings can also have the snowball effect. picture happiness starting as a small snowball and letting it roll down a never ending hill. what do you get at the never-end?

hahah. i thought so(:

I DON'T NEED NO DOCTOR!

the one with all the bits and pieces

after such a terrifying break from this god forsaken place on the web, it kind of feels just right to be back here, right now

ever feel all fuzzy when someone made you happy? or have you ever felt that unexplainable sense of jubilation when you know you're behind someone's happiness? feels good aint it? and you know what's better? given the chance and opportunity to experience it over and over again. it's something one would not expect but that's what's the whole emotion is about. which brings me to surprises, and what it holds for the receiver. such widespread anticipation, just hanging in the balance, right in your face but not obvious enough to be noticed; it really is one of my favourite feelings, if i may put it that way. point to note, distinguishing surprises from shock. haha.

this 4 months have been really an awesome time for me. it's been pretty much a blur, but somehow an extremely vivid blur. every step and every moment so clearly panned out in my mind. it's probably a recollection that's actually enjoyable.

so people of the night/day, and who ever's reading this, take a moment once in a while, to relax. put on a good song. something that would help you recollect your thoughts, emotions, and most importantly your memories. for without them, we probably would be just empty shells, like robots roaming the earth.

good night(:

It's about time

It's about time I say! Damn it's already the end of august, hopefully 6 more months is all that's left! With projects over three weeks ago, exams over just this Monday, I've had like the past 4 days of enjoyment and commitment purely for relaxation. And two more days stand before me before I join the so called "workforce" for the next 3 months for my internship!! Talking about that, just attended the briefing for the attachment phase and after seeing the many other companies other students are attached to, I guess I'm really in no position to complain. At all. Hahah beats the crap out of being at the zoo huh JIA PEI?!? Wahah.

Then again, last Saturday was just blissful really. I like surprises. Who doesn't? I mean something really good coming your way when you least expect it, that whole emotion just packs a punch really(: so yeah naturally SH was doing just that. Just plain awesome la! ROAR. And damn it, if this isn't pushing my creativity ttm, I dare not think what will!!

oh I think stuff from cortefiel are pretty sharp yet casual. Random? Not.

The 3 days

It's been a while. A month or so? I wouldn't say I'm horribly busy. More like terribly satisfyingly occupied. Yeap. That's it. Rather funky stuff.

So anyway, July has been full of excitement. In pretty much all sorts of ways. Like how NE has dissolved itself into smitterins. How I'm only left with 3 modules! Okay technically 4 but that bugger of a module will be down in just a bit. Do you realise I'm using awkward short sentances? Deal with it hahah. Doing this on a phone has it's down side I guess. Like having it appear all lengthy when it really isn't. Alright I have to stop this.

John Mayer has been a major star on my playlist of late. Check out his Where The Light Is DVD. Highly recommended audio pleasures. Fulfilling like a nice hot bowl of ramen on a cold winter night. Oh, the life.

oh yes dear

now that i'm back, i feel really odd. like a gilded butterfly. i really dont know where to start to be honest, it's been a good trip, a relaxing break, but at the same time i'm really upbeat. hahhaha nonsensical eh?

london was really a joy, like non stop action. like walking along oxford street, regent street, carnaby street and covent garden. these are some shopping spots btw. really good. oh and shopping there is soooooo much better than our motherland, just because. not forgetting the usual sight seeing spots and all. and how could we really forget paris, the city of romance. honestly, i thought that it was overrated but after seeing how picturesque the city was, it's hard not to be converted. ahhh. tres bien!

photos and all are still being consolidated with the tang family, LOADS of them definitely. i really mean alot. HA. tata for now.

Day one

Day one: it was like a gig, just so happening really. The trains are surprisingly comfortable, a tinge of familarity? I think the whole english architecture is pretty solid, like their residential areas are pretty neat (in whatever ways you can relate to).

With the likes of public bus no. 11, Westminister Abbey, Big Ben, London Eye, Trafalgar Square, Pret A Manger sandwiches, Liverpool Street, Tower Castle, Tower Bridge/new London Bridge (lol), Knightsbridge, HARRODS and fish n chips at a pub in Gloucester (good beer), I'd say that it's a pretty good day spent. Really looking forward to H&M, Oxford Street, Bond Street and what have you. I mean it's the whole shopping season right? Fine at least for me.

In case you're wondering how I got this up, well I'd like to thank apple for my iPhone that's for one. And the other for the wireless network I've managed to tap on. You won't believe what's the network name, " SingaporeVIP". Epic man. And wait till you hear the password. LOL.

Good night and sleep tight.

Here we go now

All I can do is to just sit and give what I can. for now. Hang in there(:

Anyway it's freaking 6 and I've not slept a wink. Mum's still up though but all luggages have been packed and we are all set for SQ318! I just love how the egggcitement just cresendos into this huge ball of emotions. So powerful. Like the power rangers. MEGAZORDSS. oh what ever.

Like I said, is it possible to be so tired that you aren't anymore? And apparently I'm starving? At 6??? Watch it. Pedamundo

Haha now what.

The past week has been filled with little sleep. But who am I to blame anyone? Hahaha.

I'm really getting pretty psyched for 1245 tmrw. I mean a380 man. It's been so long! And I'm looking forward to the weather there? It's sooo important.

Okay presentation now. In a bit.

Vroom vroom

Another thing on track, driving!! Woo thank goodness. Four more lessons and I'm through to take my practical test, AND yesterday's ftt was.....lucky? But still, over and done with.

Projects are a chore at the moment, gotta settle them all by tmrw latest?! Arghhhhhh. But still worth it. Pret a manger!!!!! Sweet.

Occasionally we change upon certain moments when we are left feeling terribly confused. But what exactly can we learn? and how much? you tell me (: patience is certainly a freaking virtue (i hope).

oh, i realised that i've been using "but still" excessively. retard. ed.

Alas!

Finally the trip looks so much more solid! Hotels and eurostar booked! Now what's left is the much anticiated itinerary!! Bigben, buckingham palace, thorpe park? Oxford street! Camden Market!! Omgg. Oh well. Better stop here, lest I be compared to a certain someone. Hahaha!

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Cool stuff. Found a cool app that allows me to blog on the go! Haha. Now scandalous news and gossips can be posted in real time!! Hmmm. This is so brain-less of me.

life and death

the past week has been a series of ups and downs in general. Pre-u sem was a blast!! i mean like we all said, it's probably the most impactful camp we've been to. i never remembered OBS, sec 3 camp, and all the other leadership camps to be like pre-u sem is, seriously. the whole programme was also engaging. and though most PDs were boring, Prof Mahbubani's one was interesting ttm! seriously, he and the other two gave very insightful comments and advice. not forgetting sentosa, HIGHLIGHT!! wahahha. siamese soccer, geocaching, RAFTBUILDING WTF!!!! photos are all up on mathew's, fung mei's brenda's and navina's facebook! jonathan leong, navina, ana, yvonne, mathew, brenda, fazillah, benjamin, jonathan lao gong, fung mei, mei xuan, lihui, mila, norman, tim, glendon, jing yong, yiting, charles and gillian! you guys were and ARE amazing! omg, YEH-RI FTW. LOL. okay fine.

so the next one is very depressing, the passing of my dearest grand father, Toh Kuah. considering he stayed with us for so many years, and i'm doing this in his ex-room, it's vveryy, dejecting to say the least. but we all think he went and left satisfied, and if that's so, we all happy for you ah gong. i'm trying to work on something for him, so i'll get it out asap. we all miss you AH GONG!

life is full of surprises as i said, didnt i?

Saturday, May 30, 2009

what la

how's the going! okay anyway, i'm elated yet disheartened by many things lately. it's like life has it's way of making you feel the best and the worst. not bad huh? grand dad's in a pretty bad shape, and everyone's praying for him. there was a sunday where everyone thought he was almost there already, and it was sad yet really great to see everyone back there together. it's not that often to get the full strength you know.

so anyway, pre-u sem's next week, and i still dont really know what to expect. but i guess that's the whole fun part about what we live for huh. little surprises and unexpected twists. perfect i say! oh and finally 0705 had a proper wacky crazy time last night. it's just so typical of us to do that pose, it's soooooooooooooooooo temptingggg............

you all will know when i get the photos. till then!

mummmy and wei!

Mum's birthday was the week before last and my bro-da's was a few days ago. i'm quite happy with how things went for both days. hahah, and oh! since my mum doesnt read my blog, i intend to get her a waffle maker, she's been pretty crazy over waffles with ice cream lately, so why not right!

After numerous conversations with yun hui on how religion is like and the possible reasons why they actually divide, i've come to realise that religions that i'm aware of, are technically good and pure.

It's the followers and worshippers that cause these religions to be flawed, by means of misinterpretations of teachings and the relentless abuse of religious authority. Additionally, matters are made worse by extremists who are blinded and brainwashed by the misinterpreted religious information and go to the extent of declaring holy war? Is there a war that's holy? Is there really a God who will teach and condone terror-inflicting activities and acknowledge the widespread of blood shed as a solution to peace and harmonious spiritual living?

will someone please tell me? lol

WINGS(: - 25/04/2009

"here's your cert. " oh okay, bye. HAHAHA

skylark 81

skylark 85, coolest fighter yo!

skylark 98

155 BFC. monastery course as yun hui says!

i havent really done a writeup on my whole flying journey so far, not that i'm lazy(okay partially), but more because i find it very.......... hard to start. not hard in terms of difficulty, but more emotionally. i'm not SOFT hor! but yeah. soon, i promise.

so yeah last saturday was our official wings ceremony, with the guest of honour being the same old same old, associate professor koo tsai khee. it really felt good seeing all 31 of us getting plastered with our wings. and YUN HUI'S SPEECH WAS GOOD!!!! BRAVO ZULU INDEED(:

so i'm glad i went to thank those who played major roles in my flying training, namely: instructor goh chye lee, instructor ng chee tat, and OM willie chow. really these mentors have been helpful, and they're really passionate in imparting the knowledge they have to students like us. i think THAT'S the difference between a TEACHER and a MENTOR.

SO as i was saying, this weekend has been a weekend of birthday celebrations. dad's was yesterday, awesome seafood. and rrrrrregine's bbq was on just now. UBER fun. ha. proof that kids can be childishly fun. engaging yet nonchalantly mentally invigorating. we've now got our own tv series, own band, jamming sessions, kids programme with many more to come. HAHA.
YOU KNOW SOMETHING? they can be more fun AND matured than humas my age. shocking no?

and so here it goes again. CHEERS to the moments we've had and the moments yet to come (:

FOOD

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
i'm starting to appreciate every non work moment i have with myself, family, friends, food, computer, home, and everything else non work related. i guess being so engrossed in sitting down reaps it's own genre of rewards. thanks but no thank you if i may.

shawn has just enlisted and brandon is next followed by boon hong. then it'll be jun cong, yong qin, jacky who will be sporting new hairdos. and it'll be just a few of us left. sweeeeet. NOT.

woooo. i.am.freaking.tired. period.

oh i almost forgot,

f1 is back

Brawn GP
this is one new hell of a team to watch. working on a new car in just 6 weeks, and churning out a car that took two drivers with shitty cars last season to the top 2 spots in the melbourne grand prix is really stunning. totally invigorating for the sport plagued by scandals.
how much money have you guys spent on shopping in the past 2 years? i dont even dare to take out the calculator.

friends?

ima straight homosexual. what say you?

i'm terribly saddened that i only found out about oasis' dig out your soul tour gig only yesterday. really. it's on sunday, indoor stadium, and it starts at 2000hours. i'm fucking mourning. on the other hand, dinner yesterday was really shit loads of fun. 18 people raiding holland v's crystlal jade. hahah DANIEL WAS erm......... well you know. hahaha. hilarious shit really. i think everyone had like 20 baskets of xiao long bao? and the stupid damn mushrooms that yijie ordered were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo BOOM! okay i'm not making sense here but at least i think i am inside my head full of pink ponies, mach 2 aircrafts, rainbows, turning on finals, little fairies and throttle levers.

yes, i think i'm cool.

and so here we go

mixed emotions, blurry sights, distorted sounds, and that stench?? SWEEEETTTTT

franz ferdinand has been a good change, check out their song "no you girls". funky shyt. oddly enough, i cant recall the events of the past few days, but somehow part of me doesnt want to? not that i didnt have fun. so excel's as good as it gets, and i think when i get back to school i'll pretty much own in it. excel ftw!

oh wait, cong wen. guo hao and Odette Yustman. there you go!

airport visits and the lone wolf

dinner on saturday was really quite good i guess, and we all agree it's somewhere different than the usual cliche eateries around the island. plus the journey in is really something i'm totally into. monday blues is a really powerful thing, and i definitely understand why the adults loathe mondays, or at least why the word always thought to be meaningless is rather meaningful. contradicting but you get it.

do you think a lone wolf is dangerous? oxymorons ftw!

see you in four months dude

Saturday, March 21, 2009

lets reggae all night!

my point is always proven again and again, that a 9-5 job in the future would spell the death of me physically, mentally, spiritually or whatever you'll call it. omg pls pls pls pls pls. rsaf ftw.

poker during weekends for the past two weeks pretty fulfilling aye guys? lol. okay but seriously there're tons of other activities that we could do rather than sit around a table for hours fingering cards. it's raining cats and dogs, mice and cheese, US government and AIG right now. so plans for level 30 buffalo wings at east camp have been put on hold. quite a pity really.

on the contrary, it's a saturday, so what's new?

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

omfg

saying last saturday afternoon was enjoyable is definitely an understatement. syfc can really be the best remedy. especially in times of adversity? but seriously, walking around in our flight suits(though it was warm when we went outside), talking to ALL kinds of parents(i certainly do mean all kinds), and giving the bfc students "advice", T.O.T.A.L.L.Y worth it. no?

oh whatever. so what's all the talk about vague instrutions? ambiguous future? think! i received a text from school the minute my phone was turned on(pun not intended, but oh well!), listing my grades for this sem's modules. you see what technology does for you? and in this case i'm not entirely PRO-technology mind you. so whatever.

got btt done thanks to the banks god ZEKE, *chants "All Hail Zeke!!!"*, and finally managed to settle everything for my driving. practical lessons, final theory trial tests, final theory test enrolment and what have you.

ps. finally got my bag as well. I. AM. CONTENTED.

REALLY.

5am and we're moving

i'm impressed, the internet speed of the coms at the airport's pretty neat. niceee. so yesterday was a big day for all A levels students, so congrats to all who did as well as they hoped.

gonna be away till tuesday. no where far away, just to sabah. it's nice going for a short trip just to collect your thoughts and be out of contact for a while(well, though i wouldnt want to be uncontactable to some). and ever since i realised my appreciation for all who are here, i've always had this little reluctance to leave for trips. in other words, i miss people here. awwww you might say. hahaha.

okay, i've gotta go, the lady talking through the system's getting irritating. ciao.

w.h.y.

not cute. adorable.

roar

why, of all the time, must it hit me now? dont get me wrong, i'm not emo-ing here, just been running some stuff through my mind these few days, and somehow cant help but question the reliability of reality. alright enough of that shit.

i just wish that we can have some time with no direction or purpose, or even one day. just to set things right, just to live a carefree life, just to have no obligations. just O.N.E. day. see i'm reasonable. but nooooo, life will tell you not. oh well.

been busy of late, and at the way things look, probably will be for a while? pretty happy but somehow troubled. and it's unsettling, to say the least, that i find myself in such a spot. quite the contrary to what i usually see no?

when i was younger i had piano and swimming to keep me busy. then band in primary school, which i always enjoyed. then in secondary school it was band again, this time much more meaningful and accomplishing, in many ways i say. then poly, and it was syfc, which likewise, very accomplishing, and...... i dont know, just feels good. and now that i'm kinda done with that, i feel so lost. like really lost. and since i was lost, i discovered the two biggest regrets of my 18 years so far. and that really saddens me alot.

it's just way way way tooo frustrating, and somehow it just piles up and adds on. it's pretty hard to talk it out cos it'll be a really terrible one sided conversation, and well, if a person dominates in a conversation, it ain't one isn't it?

interesting enough, when i see the way people emo on their blogs, it's always just a few sentences of their wave of emotions, always spaced out throughout that post. but that'll never happen aye! WOOSH.

blogger's a pain now

i'm not allowed to upload an image. thanks blogger. today was fun, fun-er, delightful, then BOOM downwards spiral to shit. applaud applaud. entourage's the best remedy for insomnia. HELP ME!!!

the curious case of benjamin button is the most heart warming show i've ever seen. EVER. it starts off as distrubing, then it gets light hearted, comical, then sitting-at-the-edge-of-your-seat kinda feeling, then heart warming and then heart breaking. what a blast. got the book, and wow, comes with the movie's script. but i'm gonna tempt myself with it till the end of my papers.

life's short. really.

Sunday, February 08, 2009

woosh

i'm really tired. shiok. this whole being-tired feeling's really great. feels great. and i'm typing rubbish. somehow? kinda? maybe? probably? possibly? sorta? yeah. fine.

anyone wanna join michael phelps? i want some cannabis. and a bong. and a lighter. and my phone's ringing.

CLASSIC(:

Thursday, January 29, 2009

somehow, i just cant seem to hide the fact that i do miss taking to the skies every week, even if i were to get scolded by the instructors, cos once you've tasted flight, somehow you'll never get enough. and caas is taking forever to send me my license. dang.

days have passed and things have happened. CNY's fun so far. very enjoyable. good break from school shites. therapeutic indeed. i'm kinda zonked out atm since it's 2.30am. i wanna sleep. i will go now. g'night readers( if there are any).

happy new year btw(:

AMERICAN HISTORY X

Happy Birthday my gay boy!

wednesday was another awesome day for soo many reasons, one of which was jeffrey HONG'S birthday. BSPFLS for 6 years babe! haha, so qd, jp, judith, yq and i were at wheelock place, then to isetan shaw centre. so qd purchased 2 bottles of champagne(one being a beringer), jq yq and gab shared a bottle of ice wine(heard it's pretty neat?) and i got a bottle of beringer and braown brothers. ALL these werre for the star gay boy! hahahah.

so we met them all and took a nice bus ride down to holland village, where we had reservations at crystal jade la mian xiao long bao for steamboat at 8.30. dinner was NOT BAD(urgh), but company was super fun! wahahah. dinner talk was hilarious that we all probably lost 4, 5 kg? yeah man. decided to all head to ju's place to hang out.

ARGH

while they made their way there, i left to meet a friend. after so long, so near yet pretty far? hahah, it was really great. (:

BSPFLs FTW!

then it was to ju's place for the chill-ing. AMERICAN HISTORY X is da bomb man! hahaha. i'm gonna hunt for it really soon. and jeff's cake's simply heavenly, and it better be for 80 bucks. haaha. OH! jeff's van got clamped. but the guard decided to be a saint by letting us off on no charges. AWESOME DAY.

ROAR

having family ties beats almost everything else in the world. as corny as it sounds, you have to agree that no matter what happens, no one is pretencious, hell no. no one NEEDS to be PRETENCIOUS.

and that's awesome. i love that. (:

playing with fire

israel has been bombarding the gaza strip for the past 2 weeks already, and many around the world are slamming the government for approving such "inhumane" acts. but my question to them is why wasnt anything said when israel was being hit by rockets fired by the hamas militant group in palestine for the past 2 or more years? they fired like the rockets were made in china(opps, wait a second, there were). imagine your neighbour using a handgun to shoot a room in your house where your wife and kids are, and when a bullet hits the bed post, you pull our your far superior shotgun and start blasting back. isnt that true? and now the talk is who actually are legitimate military targets.

one thing to take note is that the palestinians actually VOTED for the hamas to be in power. and yet they are crying foul when "civilians" are being killed there. though i strongly do not condone the act of bombing schools, but i want to believe that the israelis have to do what's necessary to show the hamas group that they mean business. so now, dont you think hamas has been playing with fire this whole time?

tell me i'm wrong. haha

the s word

uber therapeutic shopping today. i'm elated (: plus isetan's mens department is look crispy after the revamp. nice. no more tasteless layouts. so it was rayden's party (with lots of starch, soap and water!) which was the annual tradition. fun.

felt rather chirpy today? no idea why but i'm the new Benjamin A. Maths right michelle? i thought so Sarah Science.

2009

2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR NO? so here we go again. a brand new year, with the SAME academic lifestyle. i'm praying it wont be the same for my social situation. please ?

so headed all around the east side yesterday helping mum and then it was to aunt linda's place, for some baking, back to michelle's place for dinner and hilarious kiddo comedies and back home. still fun. but i'm gonna be breaking out of my comfort zone pretty soon, though it probably is there for my own good.
